KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NAMRUP was established in the year 1982 in a permanent
structure which is fully completed in 1985 in a sprawling campus of 14 acres near Namrup
College in the sector E of BVFCL Colony Namrup, under the patronage of then HFC (now
BVFCL). BVCL is a premier fertilizer Company engaged in the business of production of urea
(Moti Brand) using natural gases available in and around Namrup. The educational needs of
the wards of the BVFCL employees who have sound educational and technical background is
provided by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Namrup which is a miniature India inculcating in its
students feelings of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration.
The school is up to +2 level having one sections in each class from I to X and one section
each in Science & Commerce at +2 level . We have a very sound and exemplary track of
producing quality results in AISSE & AISSCE conducted by the CBSE. Every year a
good number of our students are selected in Medical, Engineering and other professional
courses in India and abroad. The Vidyalaya has a good
infrastructure for imparting quality education. We have a computer
Lab with INTERNET facility, a very rich library having more than
6000 books on all fields and 25 periodicals regularly subscribed,
fully equipped Physics / Chemistry / Bio Lab, a very well
developed teaching aids room with Overhead Projector and all sort
of educational CDs & gadgets, a well maintained
playground .
We give maximum stress on all round development of child's personality. We have
engaged experts and coaches in the field of Art & Craft. Through CCA and other
extra-curricular activities children are provided an appropriate platform to exhibit their
talents. Scouting, Trekking and Para-sailing are a part of our regular programme. We bring
out the Vidyalaya magazine annually to nurture the creative talent of the children.
Our staff is regularly trained through In-service training programmes,
workshops and induction courses to equip them with the latest
concepts in the subject and methodology. Our mission is to produce
future citizens endowed with values and skills to face the
challenges of tomorrow's world.
